An industrial management assistant has to carry out a whole range of tasks in a variety of business fields such as accounts, HR, logistics and sales. The tasks themselves are split up into different areas including planning, execution and monitoring work. Are you interested in understanding how the different aspects of a business fit together? Do you approach new challenges with an open mind and with the determination to succeed? Then the job of an industrial management assistant is just right for you!
During your 3-year apprenticeship to become an industrial management assistant, you get to know the different areas of our company which will be important for your future career. These include, for example, commercial administration, sales and logistics. Working at REMONDIS enables you to get a real insight into the profession of an industrial management assistant.
You should have either an 'allgemeine Hochschulreife', 'Fachhochschulreife' [school leaving certificate (age 18)] or a 'Realschulabschluss' [school leaving certificate (age 16)]. People wishing to become an industrial management assistant should be good at Maths, German and English and know how to work with MS Office. It is certainly an advantage if you have already gathered some work experience from internships or part-time jobs but this is not a must. Moreover, you are a person who works hard, is reliable and has strong communication skills. We automatically assume that you are willing to learn and can work in a team.
Industrial management assistants tend to work in a wide variety of areas. For the most part, these have to do with business processes which you can then later manage yourself – in particular, in purchasing, in scheduling or in selling services. Moreover, there are opportunities for you to work in accounts, controlling and HR.
Sales, purchasing, HR and accounts are the key areas of a commercial apprenticeship at REMONDIS. I've already worked in all four and am now hoping to focus on sales. What I've enjoyed most is working together with both the customers and colleagues to plan and implement complex projects. Being one of the leading providers of environmental and industrial services, REMONDIS truly is a future-oriented company with great opportunities for growth. That argument alone was a good enough reason for me to join its team. What's more, the company offers a wide range of further training measures and opportunities to further one's career. I would recommend that anyone looking to apply here should find out more about the structure of the company and the specialist services offered by the various different business divisions. You shouldn't be afraid of taking on tasks with responsibility either.
