Sustainability is our watchword – our commitment to a sustainable future
The global challenges of our time, from climate change and growing scarcity of resources to poverty all around the world, require joint action. To address these issues, the member states of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda in 2015. This agreement is a shared plan to build the future and includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They are a global roadmap that aims to achieve sustainable economic growth in harmony with people's needs and the limits of our planet.
Promoting sustainable development is part of our everyday business and an important cornerstone of our company policy. Which is why we are always doing everything we can to improve and advance this field. It is our goal to create added value – for the climate and environment, for our customers and society as well as for our own company.
We not only believe that running a responsible business is an overarching duty but also important for ensuring the company is a success. It forms the basis for sustainable decisions and responsible action in all areas of our business activities.
We at REMONDIS Maintenance & Services Group also want to do our part to achieve the SDGs. That is why we have analyzed the 17 goals in relation to our business activities and identified the five goals on which we have the greatest influence and which we are promoting in particular with concrete measures. In this way, we combine entrepreneurial success with responsibility. Today and for future generations.
SDG 3: Good health and well-being
Keeping our employees healthy and safe when they are working for us is at the very top of our list of priorities. Everyone should leave their workplace and reach home just as healthy as when they started their workday.
SDG 4: Quality education
By enabling our staff to take part in training measures, we are not only cementing the basis for our success but also making it possible for our employees to gain high-quality educational qualifications and hone their professional, methodological and social skills.
SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
Being a globally expanding Group, we create new jobs every single year. We are committed to offering apprenticeships in order to train our own specialists. This also means that we are able to offer young people a secure and future-proof job. Thanks both to the efforts we make to advance health and safety at work and to the certifications related to this, we guarantee that we actively promote safe working environments. By analysing and putting demands on our suppliers, we are looking to constantly improve working conditions along the whole of our supply chain.
SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure
Being an industrial service provider, we promote sustainable industrialisation by deploying advanced technologies and innovative processes. We help our customers to run and maintain their infrastructure, machinery and plants in an economically efficient and ecologically sustainable way. Our ongoing investments in research and development enable us to create innovative solutions that make industry more resilient and more future-proof.

Thanks to the industrial services we provide, we help our customers to make the products they manufacture and/or the services they offer more resource-friendly.
SUSTAIN.ABLE: our symbol of sustainability
Our selected SDGs clearly demonstrate how we understand sustainability in a variety of ways and integrate it into our daily work. With the launch of the xy campaign, we are sending a clear signal about this understanding. It accompanies all companies in our group as a unifying symbol and makes our sustainability strategy visible, tangible, and understandable across national borders.
With xy, we emphasize that responsibility and sustainability are not limited to individual projects or areas. The logo symbolizes our joint action in harmony with the environment, people, health, and the economy. Its visual design with colors and symbols translates these values into a universal language: it conveys
- the protection of the environment and climate,
- responsibility for people,
- the importance of safety and health, and
- the role of progress and economic success –
clearly, memorably, and in a way that is internationally understandable.

EcoVadis, the world's largest provider of sustainability ratings for companies, since 2015. We therefore demonstrate our sustainability performance in regular ratings in the categories of environment, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
