Whether you are on your way to becoming a manager, location manager or controller: in a maximum of 15 months, theory becomes practice and talent becomes a professional with a profile. The journey begins at headquarters, leads across the company – and, if desired, across national borders. With honest feedback, genuine team spirit and the best development opportunities. This is not an empty promise, but a reality that has been proven time and again. Awarded the ‘Fair Trainee Programme’ seal of approval in 2021, proven and sought-after – those who join as trainees take off.
Those who qualify for the REMONDIS trainee programme not only join the company in a structured manner, but also right at the heart of the action: the programme begins with five months of basic training at the head office, focusing on business administration. This is followed by three-month placements in operational units – where the practical work takes place. From controlling to turnarounds in the chemical industry, trainees experience day-to-day business directly on site. Along the way, they also gain experience, responsibility and a network of contacts.
„We are also proud of our trainee programme when compared to the market. Over the past ten years, we have continuously developed both in terms of content and organisation.“
Hans-Werner Hempeler
Head of Personnel and Management Development
Trainees are involved from the outset and receive support and feedback: regular feedback meetings – including with management – are an integral part of the programme. Mutual exchange is equally important. Those who start today benefit from a strong community of former participants. Many of them have long since moved into management positions – and pass on their experience as mentors.
RMS takes its promotion of young talent seriously, and not just internally: an external audit by the Trendence Institute has awarded the programme the ‘Fair Trainee Programme’ seal of approval. And rightly so, as a look at the practical side shows. Year after year, careers with vision are launched here – as in the case of Maximilian Scholbrock, who joined the company as a trainee in March 2025. His conclusion after a few months: ‘Absolutely positive – it's working.’
