In June 2025, REMONDIS Maintenance & Services welcomed a special guest: Norbert Rethmann, Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Rethmann Group, visited the head office in Cologne, accompanied by guests from Poland and Germany.
History of BUCHEN and XERVON
After a welcome address by Managing Director Olaf Karrass, the program continued with a concise management briefing: the history of BUCHEN and XERVON under the umbrella of the RMS Group, which has grown through new tasks, innovative projects, and a constantly evolving range of services. The executives clearly demonstrated how diverse the group of companies is today – from specialized services to pioneering technologies that will continue to set standards in the future.
The direct exchange with employees and the immediate connection to daily practice is extremely important to me personally when touring our facilities. The high level of expertise and noticeable motivation of the various teams never ceases to inspire me.

But the highlight of the visit came during the joint tour of the head office. Norbert Rethmann took the time to talk directly to employees, had projects explained to him, and got a feel for what sets RMS apart: team spirit, expertise, and motivation as a living reality in everyday working life.
Tailwind for the success of the RMS Group
For the RMS teams, the visit was a visible sign of recognition and an additional incentive to continue to embrace the connection between tradition, innovation, and personal exchange in the future. Proximity to employees and customers remains the decisive factor for sustainable success.
