Cross-sector industrial services in the Middle East
In Sharjah, XERVON Middle East successfully completed a model project: boiler cleaning at the waste incineration plant
Our location in Abu Dhabi enables us to bundle the service portfolios of BUCHEN and XERVON and creates a basis for cross-sector industrial services. Central coordination and logistics allow technical infrastructure and expertise to be efficiently deployed where it is needed – for example, in neighbouring Sharjah.
XERVON Middle East has successfully carried out a complete boiler cleaning at the waste incineration plant in Sharjah. The maintenance work involved the use of sandblasting technology from the field of corrosion protection and rope access methods, which are also used in offshore installations, among other things.

The processes used can be flexibly transferred to other plants – for example, to industrial high-temperature processes in the chemical or cement manufacturing industries. The benefits: high efficiency, minimal downtime, maximum safety.
Side note: Waste-to-energy
As the first plant of its kind in the United Arab Emirates, Sharjah's waste incineration plant processes 300,000 tonnes of waste annually, generates electricity for 28,000 households and enables emissions savings of 450,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2). In addition to the waste incineration plant already in operation in Dubai, another plant is in the final stages of construction in Abu Dhabi – an important component of the regional climate strategy.
